Hi, I am Michael Martino, I am the founder and owner of Random Certainty. I have been DJing for the last 8 years. I stopped DJing to run the company and work more on music production. I graduated from the Associates Program for Recording Sound and Technology at Madison Media Institute. I is currently enrolled and employed in the Entertainment Media Business Program at MMI. I have also participated in several marketing and entrepreneurial adventures with people such as Martin Atkins, and I’m always looking for more.
I have also set upon a journey to become titled as The Doctor. The word Doctor means, the one who is licensed to teach. Throughout history the title has been given to people with authority in respected fields. Religious figures once held the title for teaching the word of god. In the modern age Doctors are recognized by Institutions with Doctorates. Also the Medical Profession has taken a hold on the connotation of the word. Thus fundamentally a Doctor is some one who is recognized as a expert or a “licensed” teacher. Although I may achieve my academic doctorate (and very much would like to), in the spirit of that which is Punk, I want to go about it differently if possible. Since Doctorates are essentially given by an Elite that is assumed to represent the best interest of the masses I want to work from the ground up. Instead of gaining mass acceptance from the blessing of an Elite group of Intellectuals I want to build a personal relation with each person and let them license me themselves to be viewed as a Doctor. That way the when you call me a Doctor it isn’t because some one else suggested you do so because they are seen as more intelligent than you. Instead I will have to prove to the masses themselves I am deserving of the title and prestige of an “expert teacher.” I will be doing a series of Videos and Pamphlets in which I discuss everything from media and pop culture to science and history. This is the beginning of my journey. I hope to see you in my travels and earn your respect.
